ACTIVITIES

Mountain bike trip: We ride for 19 km on an unpaved road through the jungle. The road passes by several houses of local people and through areas of subsistence farms, crossing streams where we can take a refreshing dip, and finally ending the trip at the beautiful Tambopata River.
Huangana Trek: We walk along a 4 or 7 km trail (depending on the route taken), crossing our Tambopata Trek Conservation Area, to reach an observation platform 4meters above ground level, to look for packs of wild pigs (peccaries).
Venado Trek: This trail is 7 km long and crosses our Tambopata Trek Conservation Area where we will admire the olds trees, look for some animals, and enjoy the pristine environment, free of the impact of humans; this trail ends at a nice stream.

Birdwatching: We hike along a 2 km trail, next to the Gato stream , until we reach a natural parrot clay lick. Here we watch for parrots, observing their behavior, their feeding habits, and the beautiful surrounding environment.
Gato Stream: A beautiful place to take a refreshing swim with a wonderful view; and we can spend the night in the family-run jungle guest house.

Camping: The first night we camp next to a stream in the middle of the rainforest; the second night we camp at the Tambopata river. Both camps are very nice, and quite different from each other.
Botanic Garden: We make an interesting visit to our neighbor Robin of the Camino Verde non-profit organization, home of a unique conservation and reforestation program.

Shihuahuaco Trek: We follow a 4 km trail across our Tambopata Trek Conservation Area, passing by dramatic old trees like shihuahuacos (ironwood), castaños (brazil nut),and lupunas (giant kapok). We can see a harpy eagle´s nest, and others birds and animals.
Zip Lining: This circuit is planned to be constructed near the shihuahuaco trek area.

Kayak: On the Tambopata River, minimal difficulty, but experience required.
